mesh connectivity layer (MCL)

Mesh Connectivity Layer (MCL) is a technology for mesh networks that allows users to connect their computers to the mesh network.

Computers in the mesh network can connect to the Internet via the Mesh Connectivity Layer. The MCL concept was developed for the Windowsoperating system by Microsoft and by several universities.

The connection to the mesh network is made via a virtual network adapter. Routing functionality is provided by the Link Quality Source Rout ing (LQSR) routing protocol. This protocol is based on Dynamic Source Routing (DSR).
