maximum output pressure (acoustics) (MPO)

Maximum Output Pressure (MPO) is a sound pressure limitation in hearing aids to prevent hearing damage. The MPO value is the maximum permissible sound pressure at the output of the hearing aid. In hearing aids, corresponding sound pressure limitations are realized with the automatic gain control of the output sound pressure (AGCo) and by means of peak clipping( PC).
