The term Loss of
Load Probability (LOLP) is used in power transmission networks and stands for the probability that there is a loss of load. In the case of a Loss of Load Probability, the demand for electrical energy exceeds the energy capacities of the energy network at a given time. The grid cannot supply as much energy as is required. The period in which the energy shortage occurs is specified in days per year and shows the differences in the diagram compared to previous years.
