lean web automation (LWA)

Lean WebAutomation (LWA) is an approach for using well-known web technologies for distributed automation via the Internet or intranets.

In Lean Web Automation, the data from actuators and sensors of automation devices, i.e. the process data, is made available on a web platform. This process data transfer is realized by a Java-based application model. Here, the web clients and the web browsers, have an interface to the process data, which is managed by the LWA server, a proxy server. In this distributed concept, the LWA clients access the LWA servers over the network and can link the process data to other web pages.
