Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) is a ferroelectric material used in ferro-RAMs (FRAM) and as a piezoceramic
in piezoelectric transducers. In ferro-RAMs, information
in thepolarization of the ferroelectric material, with lead zirconate titanate as a thin film between two electrodes
. Lead zirconate titanate is also used as a piezoelectric ceramic material for piezoelectric transducers. Doping with impurity atoms can change the electromagnetic properties of the PZT ceramic. The technique is applied to piezoceramics to change the hysteresis and thus the remanence.
