lead-out

Lead-out on Compact Discs(CD) and Digital Versatile Discs( DVD) is the credits that follow the last track. It is a buffer area in which the session is concluded. The lead-out is written along with the lead-in; on normal compact discs, it has no content. For pre- mastering compact discs( PMCD), the lead-out contains the International Standard Recording Codes( ISRC), and the PQ codes.

The lead-out area is located at the outer recording radius and is therefore also called the Outer Guard Area (OGA).
