A kiosk system is a computer-basedinformation system that is publicly accessible and operated via an intuitive user interface.
The various kiosk systems differ in terms of their application. For example, there are pure information systems, Point of Information( POI), or those for the identification of people, Point of Sale( POS) for the sale of tickets, for monetary transactions or transcations. A keyboard and a computer mouse are available for operation, alternatively touchscreens or multi-touchscreens.
Cash transaction kiosk systems can be equipped with card readers for card data capture, fingerprint scanners and video camera for identification, thermal printer, CD drive and various other peripherals.
