This is the formal meaning of the keyword. This includes the position of the keyword within the web page, in abstracts, in the headline or the metatags. Depending on the position of the keyword, it has a lower or higher rating for the search engines.

In search engine optimization, keywords should therefore be positioned in a prominent place in the text or in subheadings.
