Keyword advertising is a special form of online advertising. Advertisements are placed using specific search terms in search engines.
If, for example, an Internet user enters Shanghai in a search engine, then advertisements are placed with the list of results that are related to the search word, e.g., with advertisements with airline connections to Shanghai or with overnight accommodations, etc. Keyword advertising is an online form of advertising with relatively low wastage, because with the respective reference to the search word, keyword targeting, the really relevant customer target group is addressed.
One of the largest providers of keyword advertising is Google with its AdWordsservice.
