key-value store (KVS)

Key-Value Store (KVS) is a storage method for storing data in a memory system. In the KVS procedure, the stored data is stored together with the key.

When the data is retrieved, the key that was defined when the data was stored is assigned. The KVS method is a comparably simple storage and management method that is fixed to the storage and retrieval of data. The KVS method can also be used to manage data that is stored in different locations. This is then referred to as Distributed KVS.
