job transfer and manipulation (OSI) (JTM)

Job Transfer and Manipulation (JTM) is an OSI application service and belongs to the special application service elements( SASE) for job transfer and manipulation. JTM has a similar function to traditional remote job entry.

JTM also allows an order to be placed through an open system for execution on one or more other systems. During job processing, JTM can access distributed files located elsewhere on the OSI network or process results. JTM is specified in ISO standards 8831/8832 and 8824/8825 for transferring jobs to remote computers.
