job submission description language (OGF) (JSDL)
Job Submission Description Language (JSDL) is an extensible XML specification for describing simple tasks for non-interactive computer systems.
The JSDL specifications were published by the Open Grid Forum( OGF) and aim at the description for the submission of computational tasks to traditional high- performance computer systems.
JSDL describes the input aspects of the job to be executed, not its execution. Therefore, JSDL includes the job name and its description, the requirements for the computer to execute the job, such as available memory, clock speed and number of central processing units, operating system, and so on. Furthermore, JSDL includes the available computing time or memory.
