intruder
Anyone who illegally penetrates other people's data and makes it known to themselves and others is known as an intruder. A distinction is made between passive intruders, who obtain data that is not intended for them, and active intruders, who smuggle messages they have created into the network. Passive intruders can, for example, obtain encrypted data after it has been decrypted.
