international shared cost service (ISCS)

The International Shared Cost Service (ISCS) allows callers to contact international services, with costs allocated to the national telephone costs from which the call is made. The service code is (0)808. The ISCS service was specified by the International Telecommunication Union ( ITU-T) in ITU Recommendation E.154.
