intermediate session routing (ISR)

Intermediate SessionRouting (ISR) is a routing algorithm initially used in Advanced Peer to Peer Networking ( APPN). This algorithm supports connection-oriented routing between two nodes. ISR routing was superseded by High Performance Routing ( HPR) because rerouting after a failure was not supported by ISR.
