interface muiltiplexer
An interface multiplier (SSV), interface multiplexer, is a device that allows parallel connection of several data terminal devices with the same transmission speed to one port. The data transmission protocolmust control the selection of the terminal equipment ( polling/selecting).
In the Integrated Digital Network( IDN), interface multipliers are node functions for linkingdata direct connections(DDV) at the physical layer. These link the user data networks with equal transmission speeds.
