intelligent network application protocol (IN, SS7) (INAP)

Intelligent Network Application Protocol (INAP) is a standardized protocol for intelligent networks( IN).

Service providers can offer their own services via the INAP protocol, via which the Service Control Point( SCP) and the Service Switching Point( SSP) communicate with each other. The INAP protocol relies on SS7 signaling and the Signaling Connection Control Parts( SCCP) used INAP messages for routing. INAP messages are written in the abstract syntaxASN.1.
