integration competency center (ICC)

For financial service providers, the provision of business-relevant data for analysis and decision-making plays a crucial role for strategic orientation. The relevant data must flow into reports for management and authorities at specific reference points in time. Since they often originate from different source systems, data integration and storage in a comprehensive data warehouse is problematic. Since isolated applications are often used in these cases, a strategic alternative is data integration in an Integration Competence Center ( ICC).

This strategic approach, which was developed by the analyst firm Gartner, requires individual implementation and cannot be carried out across companies.

The ICC aims at data integration from which other projects and processes of the company also benefit.
