integrated remote error monitoring (IREM)

Integrated RemoteErrorMonitoring (IREM) is a system for remote monitoring of optical networks. With such a monitoring system, transmission errors in the regenerator links and the line terminals can be measured, stored and logged. IREM systems can be implemented in the line terminals.
