insertion depth

The insertion depth (ET) is a length specification of cassettes in racks. Unlike the pitch units( HP) and the height units(U), it is not standardized and results from the PCBs and the connectors.

For 19" racks, the common cassette depths, which result from the dimensions of Eurocards, are 167 mm and 227 mm.
