Input devices are peripheral devices for text, graphic and image input as well as for audio and video input. The input information causes the interaction with the programs.
The group of input devices can be divided into those for text and graphic input. These include keyboards, graphics tablets and reading pens, as well as control devices, for example for manual control of the cursor. The computer mouse, joystick, light pen, surface pen, touchpad, trackball and data glove should be mentioned. As a further group, there are devices for voice, image, audio and video input, such as microphone, digital camera and camcorder.
