The aim of infotainment is to increase the user's receptiveness through show effects, animations and audio. The transition between infotainment and edutainment, in which entertainment is combined with learning objectives, is fluid.
Infotainment is used equally in the private sphere and in companies, but also in automotive technology. This is referred to as in-vehicle infotainment( IVI). It includes radio and television, digital broadcasting( DAB, DMB) and digital TV( DVB-T, DVB-H), audio and video, mobile telephony and navigation, and is available to the driver and passengers at the seat.
