enterprise information management (EIM)

Enterprise Information Management (EIM) is about the management, processing and use of enterprise information, whereby the structured and unstructured data generated in the enterprise is used for the business process and the set enterprise goals.

The EIM concept encompasses the generation of enterprise information, its capture, distribution and use. It is influenced by enterprise content management( ECM), enterprise document management( EDM) and enterprise asset management( EAM).
