inband range
- The term "inband" is applied primarily in the telephone sector to those frequencies which are in the speech band, i.e. frequencies between 300 Hz and 3400 Hz.
- In many transmission techniques, the in-band range is used for in-band signaling. It takes place in the same frequency range in which the information or user data is transmitted.
- Inband is also used for the transmission of protocols if they are transmitted via the same transmission media as the primary protocols. Typical examples of inband protocols are management protocols.
- In wireless charging according to the Qi standard, the two coils, the transmitting and the receiving coil, communicate uni- or bidirectionally via the inband area.
