hyper band
The hyperband is a special frequency range in cable distribution networks; specifically, it is the extended special channel range( ESB) of special channels S21 to S41 between 303.25 MHz and 463.25 MHz.
The hyperband was originally intended fortelevision transmissions using the D2 MACnkArticleID= "19368" ArticleURL=" MAC-multiplexed- analog-components-MAC- method" ArticleTitle="MAC-method">MAC-method and had a channel width of 12 MHz. It is now used for DVB-C in cable television( CATV) with a channel width of 8 MHz. The hyperband lies between the upper special channel band(OSB) and band IV.
