home data base (Tetra) (HDB)

A home data base(HDB) is a central database of a Tetra network. It is part of the network infrastructure and stores various data of the connected subscriber devices.

The data stored in the Home Data Base includes the call number, the basic services and the supplementary services, the current access data with the logins and the whereabouts. In small Tetra networks, the radio base control takes over the switching function. In such a constellation, the Home Data Base can ensure the switching functions through redundancy.
