high speed serial data connection (FC) (HSSDC)
High Speed Serial Data Connection (HSSDC) is a data connector from Berg Electronics, USA, designed specifically for use in Fibre Channel( FC), but also meets InfiniBand and Gigabit Ethernet specifications.
The HSSDC connector is an 8- pin connector for 100-ohm and 150-ohm twinaxial cables. It is used in workplace cabling and for connecting Fibre Channel components with cable lengths of up to 30 m. With Fibre Channel, the HSSDC connector can transmit transfer rates of 1.0625 Gbit/s and 2.1 Gbit/s.
The HSSDC connector system consists of a male and female connector, which are fully shielded in metallic housings to improve EMC values. The impedance is 150 ohms, the crosstalk is 1% for extremely short voltage rises of 400 ps, and 2% for 100 ps.
