high performance addressing (LCD) (HPA)

High Performance Addressing(HPA) is a driver technology for passive LCD displays.

HPA technology is intended to compensate for the disadvantages of LCD displays. With HPA technology, color displays can be made with a color depth of 24 bits, the luminance is less than 100 cd/m2 and the contrast ratio is about 1:40. The change times of the liquid crystals are about 150 ms. A significant advantage of this driver technology is the low power consumption compared to an active liquid crystal technology, such as Thin Film Transistor( TFT), and the good image quality.
