High LevelEntity Management System (HEMS) stands for previously used host monitor protocols that were used in Internet management. The HEMS protocol, described in RFCs 1021 to 1024, is no longer used. Simple Gateway Monitoring Protocol ( SGMP) and CMIP over TCP/ IP ( CMOT) have taken its place.
