heat dissipation foil
Like thermal conductive pads or thermal conductive paste, thermal conductive films are used for heat dissipation from packages, central processing units, power electronics components and integrated circuits. They are silicone-containing or silicone-free films with ceramic or metallic material additives and glass fiber reinforcement.
Thermal conductive foils provide cooling of components and conduct heat from places with high temperature to places with lower temperatures. They are supplied in sheet or roll form and may have shape-specific die cuts. They are often also equipped with an adhesive layer. Their key property is their high thermal conductivity, which can reach values of up to 2,000 W/mK(watts per meterKelvin), about five times that of copper.
