handprint character recognition (HCR)

Handprint Character Recognition(HRC) refers to any process that automatically recognizes handwritten letters, numbers, words or sentences and converts them into a file that can be processed by a computer.

HCR technology is intelligent character recognition( ICR), which evolved from optical character recognition( OCR).

Character recognition techniques analyze individual handwriting, that is, handwriting that does not conform to recognition specifications. Since handwriting is characterized by many individual and national characteristics and is subject to the human psyche, the recognition methods analyze individual characters, but also the course of writing and the writing speed. The movement and character characteristics are stored and compared in an internal dictionary. With this text recognition, recognition rates of well over 90 % are achieved.
