half VGA (HVGA)

Half VGA (HVGA) is a display format with a screen resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. It has half the resolution of the VGA format with 640 x 480 pixels, and twice the resolution of Quarter-GVA( QVGA). The HVGA display has 153,600 pixels.

As with QVGA and VGA, the aspect ratio is 4:3. The HVGA format is used in small and micro displays of smartphones, in cell phones and TV phones, and in mobile multimedia players.
