The Group Separator (GS) is an Information Separator( IS) from the IA-5 alphabet.
The Group Separator is used for logical separation of messages. Its special meaning is to be defined separately for the respective application (Group). The GS control character occupies the decimal number 029 in the ASCII character set, hexadecimal the 1D.
