government to business (G2B)

Government to Business (G2B) characterizes all interactive processes that take place online between government agencies, institutions, authorities and companies. This can involve electronic registrations, inquiries, tax notices, submissions and directories that businesses have to a government agency or want to view.

The extensive range of G2B services includes job placement, motor vehicle registers, tender regulations and procurement rules, customs regulations for import and export, central statistics, business support programs, procurement procedures, allocation of tax numbers, regulations of the energy and communications markets and much more.

Many of these e-services are free of charge, while others, such as access to business registers, are subject to a fee. If the communication is between public authorities and citizens, it is referred to as Government to Citizen( G2C), and if it is between government agencies, offices and authorities, it is referred to as Government to Government( G2G).
