global data synchronization network (GDSN)

A Global Data SynchronizationNetwork (GDSN) is a network in which the GDS data, Global Data Synchronization, is managed. Conceptually, such a network consists of the provider and the supplier. Both have a data pool, the source data pool and the recipient data pool, which are connected to each other via the GS1 Global Registry

. The GS1 Global Registry ensures that both data pools have identical product entries. The product information entered by the supplier with its technical data and properties is entered by the supplier into the source data pool and forwarded from there to the GS1 Global Registry for registration

.

The data is transmitted for publication to the supplier-side data pool, from which a confirmation

is sent to the source data pool. A subscription request is sent from the supplier via the recipient data pool to the registry, which confirms it to the source data pool. The supplier can access its data pool and has the same entries as the source data pool.
