glas-master
Glass mastering is a step in the production of compact discs(CDs) and DVDs.
During glass mastering, the data burned onto the blank during premastering is burned into the photosensitive film with which the glass master is coated using a laser. A negative duplicate is created from this glass master, which serves as a template for the tin matrix. This die contains the pits and is used for pressing the CD replicas.
