generalized frequency domain multiplexing (GFDM)

5th generation communication networks are about increasing capacity to include more users and devices and to increase the data rate for a given bandwidth.

To increase transmission capacity, 5th generation( 5G) mobile networks used advanced techniques such as carrier aggregation, Massive MIMO, Adaptive Antenna System( AAS) and spatial beamforming. As for modulation and multiplexing techniques, they have been enriched by Generalized Frequency Domain Multiplexing (GFDM). This multiplexing technique exhibits a significant increase in capacity compared to the bandwidth-efficientOrthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex( OFDM).
