Function as a Service(FaaS) is a cloud service in which the IT infrastructure is present, as in serverless computing.

All servers, networks, storage units and runtime environments make their functions available for the development of application software or apps, micro apps and microservices such as web applications or chatbots. Only the business logic based on this is implemented.

The advantages of Function as a Service lie in the developmental area, because developers can concentrate on their developments and do not have to worry about server technology. In addition, FaaS enables scalable applications without having to integrate them into larger platforms. The costs for the cloud service provider are based on the use of the resources or functions.
