full service access network (FSAN)

Full Service Access Network (FSAN) is an international initiative of telecommunications network operators to define uniform access network requirements and support standardization. The focus is on telecommunications services for narrowband and broadband.

Since international telcos have different network structures, the standardization of network components, especially in fiber- copper implementation, is one of the most urgent goals of Full Service Access Network (FSAN). In addition, activities focus on services, interfaces and their installation, access network architecture and performance, data transport and infrastructure, and signaling and administration.
