There are different diversity methods which realize diversity with time reference, frequency differences, the multiple use of the transmission space or via several antennas. All these radio technology methods serve to improve the transmission quality of the radio signals.
Diversity stands for variety. In terms of frequency diversity, this means that the radio signals are transmitted over several different frequencies. This can be two or more frequencies over which the same signal is transmitted. To avoid mutual interference between the radio frequencies, they should be spaced as far apart as possible. Since all carrier frequen cies are modulated with the same signal, interference of individual signals can be compensated.
The redundant signals are combined inthe combiners connected downstream of the antennas.
