Framework as a Service (FaaS) is a cloud service that fits in between Software as a Service( SaaS) and Platform as a Service( PaaS).

With the FaaS service, client programs can be quickly adapted to business tasks. Implementations require minimal effort. The solutions can be industry-specific and cover all sorts of industries and company areas: from finance and logistics to warehouse management and accounting.

Windows Azure from Microsoft supports Framework as a Service with .Net and Visual Studio as a software platform and is used to develop cloud applications.
