fiber to the office (MAN) (FTTO)

Like all other FTTx technologies, Fiber to the Office (FTTO) is a fiber optic connection technology in which the fiber is routed via the central building distributor( BDC) to the end device in the office.

The business customer is thus provided with a broadband connection in the office that can be used interactively. This can be optimized via switches and also converted to copper lines via media converters, allowing the user to continue using the existing standard connections.

The advantage of FTTO technology can also be seen in the fact that Gigabit Ethernet, which is increasingly represented in the edge area, can be routed directly to the end device via the core networks.
