fiber to the node (FTTN)

Fiber to the Node (FTTN) or Fiber to the Neighborhood (FTTN) is one of numerous fiberopticconnection technologies in which the optical fiber is routed from the local exchange to a distribution box that may be several kilometers away from the customer location. From this distribution box, the last mile is supplied with DSL technologies via copper twisted pairs. FTTN technology can supply hundreds of households with high data rates.
