fiber to the exchange (FTTEx)

FTTEx (Fiber To The Exchange) is one of the many FTTx variants, which means that the optical fiber of the optical fiber distribution network is only routed to the exchange. This variant is currently the only technology available nationwide in the subscriber connection area. The FTTE solution offers 64 to 128 broadband accesses with transmission speeds between 1.5 Mbit/s and 8 Mbit/s downstream and between 64 kbit/s and 640 kbit/s upstream.
