feed point (photovoltaic)
The feed point is the point in a public power grid where electricity is fed in or taken out. At the feed point, the responsibility changes from the solar power producer to the power grid operator.
In the case of solar power, the solar power producer must install and operate the power cables and equipment such as the feed-in meter up to this point, after which responsibility passes to the distribution network operator ( DSO) of the low- voltage grid.
For photovoltaic systems with a peak power below 30 kWp, the feed-in point is usually the house connection. If the feed-in power exceeds 30 kW nominal power, the solar power producer must obtain a feed-in commitment from the electricity grid operator.
