event information table (DVB) (EIT)

The Event Information Table (EIT) is a table for current status messages in digital TV. It is transmitted in the transport stream with the program information. The Event Information Table (EIT) is transmitted from the satellite to the receiver and contains current status information of the transmission and additional information for the set-top box. The EIT information flows into the electronic program guide( EPG).
