Electromagnetic noise (EEN) occurs when electromagnetic radiation from various sources of radiation is superimposed. This can be radiation from power lines, power plants, overhead rail lines, medical equipment and household appliances, and many other sources of interference that combine to produce the electromagnetic radiation.
