In principle, the enhancer works in the same way as the exciter. Both boost the higher tones for the purpose of sound enhancement.

In the process, high tones above a certain frequency are filtered out via several bandpass filters and fed to an equalizer, which distorts the original signal non-linearly and thus generates harmonics. The harmonics are fed back to the original signal at a reduced level, resulting in a much more pronounced sound image at higher frequencies and stereophonic reproduction. The result is an improvement of the sound image and the room sound where you can locate the instruments better.
