The 5th GenerationNew Radio(5GNR) mobile technology offers several service categories that cover future needs in mobile communications.

Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) is one such service category that provides an extremely high data rate of up to 20 Gbit/s and supports services with high bandwidth requirements. In this context, video technology with high definition video( HDV), virtual reality( VR) and augmented reality( AR) are worth mentioning.

The ITU has defined Ultra-High Reliability and Low Latency Communications( uRLLC) and Massive Machine-Type Communications( mMTC) as further service categories.
