enhanced metafile (WMF) (EMF)

Enhanced Metafile(EMF) is an enhanced Windows Metafile(WMF) that can be processed only on 32-bit Windows systems.

Enhanced Metafile (EMF) is used for displaying vector graphics, works with Bezier curves and can combine vector graphics and raster graphics in one image. The EMF file format is device-independent, allowing graphics to be printed on all printers regardless of resolution.

Extended Metafile is used as a graphical language for printer drivers and spooling and runs under Windows operating systems.
